Paulo Pacheco
Natural dos Açores, estudou piano com Graça Paiva Cunha e António Teves no Conservatório Regional de Ponta Delgada. Concluiu a Licenciatura em Música (variante – Piano) na Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa onde estudou sob a orientação de Miguel Henriques (Piano) e Olga Prats (Música de Câmara). Obteve o Mestrado (Master of Music) na especialidade de Piano sob a orientação de Vladimir Viardo, na Universidade do Norte do Texas. Complementou os seus estudos em música de câmara nesta universidade no programa de especialização Chamber Music Center.
Actualmente, frequenta o Doutoramento em Artes Musicais na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (U.N.L) e Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
Obteve o 1º Prémio de Música de Câmara (nível superior) do Prémio Jovens Músicos 1999; o 3º Prémio no “Concerto Piano Competition MTNA”; e foi finalista no Concurso Helena Sá e Costa, “Nina Wideman Piano Competition” e “UNT Piano Competition”. Destacam-se os recitais (a solo e em música de câmara) realizados no 26º Festival Internacional de Música da Costa do Estoril; na Promenade Jovens Músicos (Porto); nos Cursos Internacionais de Música de Câmara da Fundação Hindemith (Suíça); Festival “Cultura na Europa” em Frankfurt; Expo de Hannover; Dias da Música em Belém em Lisboa, nos Festivais de Música de Coimbra, Mafra, Guimarães, Temporada de Música dos Açores e nos cursos de Vila do Conde. Em Lisboa apresentou-se nos seguintes palcos: Museu da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Teatro Camões, Centro Cultural de Belém, Culturgest, Aula Magna, Palácio Foz, Teatro São Luíz e Auditório Vianna da Motta.
Tocou a solo com a Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Orquestra Nacional do Porto, Filarmonia das Beiras e Banda da Marinha. Colabora regularmente com a OrchestrUtopica. É membro fundador das seguintes formações de câmara: duo com o flautista Nuno Inácio; “Trio .pt” com o violinista Pedro Morais Andrade e o violoncelista Paulo Gaio Lima; do “Triunvirato” com Nuno Inácio e o violoncelista Marco Pereira: do “Trio Max Bruch” com a clarinetista Ester Georgie e o violetista Paul Wakabayashi; “Trio Lisboa” com o violinista Tiago Neto e o violoncelista Nuno Abreu. Orienta regularmente masterclasses de piano e de música de câmara. Gravou para a Antena 2 e RTP Açores.
Paulo Pacheco é, desde 2005, docente da disciplina de Música de Câmara na Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa e na Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra. Em 2012, tornou-se membro da “European Chamber Music Teachers Association”.
Dialecticae Piano Trio
A Portuguese Trio from Superior School of Music of Lisbon, was constituted in September, 2017 in the class of Professor Paulo Pacheco. Since then, the group has performed in Estoril International Music Festival, Harmos Festival, ECMTA Spring Meeting in 2019 and obtained the 3rd National Prize in Youth Music Prize in 2018. As as Trio, they have been approaching the standard repertoire in order to acquire the main chamber music principles and develop the fundamental skills in this field.

Veronika Taraban, violin
Veronika Taraban was born in 1998 in Kiev (Ukraine). She began her violin studies at the age of five at Conservatório – Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira Eng.º Luíz Peter Clode (CEPAM). There, she concludes the Curso Básico Profissional de Instrumento and Curso Profissional de Instrumentista do CEPAM, in professor Olga Proudnikova’s class. Currently, she is enrolled at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa in the second year of Bachelor degree in the violin class of teacher Tamila Kharambura and guided by Paulo Pacheco in her chamber music class. During her studies, Veronika Taraban has performed in several solo and chamber music concerts. In 2005, she was a soloist with the Classical Orchestra of Madeira having interpreted the Concerto in A minor by A. Vivaldi. She participated in several regional and international competitions for young violinists, being distinguished with the following prizes in Portugal, such as: 1.º Prize | CEPAM Children’s Competition (Funchal, 2004, 2005) / 1.º Prize | “Fórum Internacional – Musical Interpretation and Pedagogy in 21th century” (Lisboa, 2006; Funchal, 2007) / Grand-Prix at “Fórum Internacional – Musical Interpretation and Pedagogy in 21th century”” (Funchal,2017) / 3.º Place | “Prémio Jovens Músicos 2018” Competition in Chamber Music – superior level. In 2015, she was named Concertino in the Youth Orchestra - OJ.com - and in 2016, section leader of second violins, having worked with the following conductors: Ernest Schelle and Pedro Andrade. In 2017, she was awarded with the 2nd place in the Soloists Competition of OJ.com. Also, she participated in several orchestral supervised practice with the Classical Orchestra of Madeira, having worked with the following conductors: Rui Pinheiro, Igor Gruppman and Luís Andrade. In 2016, on the Erasmus frame students exchange, Veronika Taraban traveled to Tallinn – Music School “Georg Ots”. In 2018, in the context of the String Festival of ESML, she was soloist with the Repertoire Orchestra under the batton of Professor Jean-Marc Burfin. She participated in several masterclasses, tutored by the following teachers: Ilya Grubert, Natália Morozova, Igor and Vesna Gruppman, Alissa Margulis, Eliot Lawson, Aníbal Lima, among others.
Leonor Mateus, cello
Leonor Mateus was born in 1998 in Lisbon. She began her musical studies at the age of seven with Ana Raquel Pinheiro at the Academia de Música de Santa Cecília. Later on, she completed the 8th grade under the guidance of Professor Luís Sá Pessoa at Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional. Being an effective member of the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil between 2014 and 2015, she was selected to participate in the XVI edition of the OJ.COM (Youth Orchestra of Official Music Conservatories) tutored by maestro Pedro Neves. In 2017, she won the 1st prize at the 18th Internacional Competition Cidade do Fundão - category V. She was awarded the 3rd Prize in Chamber Music - superior level - at the 32nd edition of national competition "Prémio Jovens Músicos". During her musical course, she participated in masterclasses with the following musicians and teachers: Paulo Gaio Lima, Harriet Krijgh, Susanne Müller-Hornbach, Bruno Borralhinho, Denis Severin and Mats Lidström. Currently, Leonor Mateus attends the 2nd year of the Bachelor degree at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa in the cello class of Paulo Gaio Lima, and chamber music with the teachers Irene Lima and Paulo Pacheco.
Francisco Costa, piano
Francisco Costa was born in 1999. He began his piano studies with teacher Eduardo Regula and later in the class of teacher Ana Valente at Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional. Currently, he is enrolled in the first year of Bachelor degree at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa where he studies piano with Miguel Henriques and chamber music with Paulo Pacheco. He has participated in several masterclasses with Rene LeCuona, Paulo Gaio Lima, Paul Wakabayashi and Ian Mikirtumov. In 2015, he won the 1st prize – category V – in Internacional Competition Cidade do Fundão, and the 1st prize in Czerny Competition at EAMCN. In 2016, he also performed as soloist with the Orchestra of EAMCN.
